The Project

This website was my first big website project in my Intro to Web class. I learned so much in just one semester, jumping from never having seen HTML in my entire life to creating a site with multiple links and using CSS to create the look I wanted.

My assignment was to create an information website dedicated to a historical person or event. I chose Vincent Van Gogh, one of the greatest artists in history and my favorite artist of all time.

Mockups

I worked hard on creating realistic-looking mockups for the project and tried different color and painting combinations to get the feel I wanted. I ended up going with the watercolor appearance of last mockup design, as it seemed to be the best choice. Since I was still quite limited in my skill, the layout of the first mockup was the best option as well.
